Register for Alert Spokane:
- During emergencies and disasters, it’s crucial for residents to informed about evolving situations. Sign up for ALERT Spokane to receive public alert and warning messages that are disseminated throughout the greater Spokane area.
- Alert Spokane is now using a new software called ReGroup. Please re-register for notifications if you had been registered previously.
- In the event of an evacuation, refer to the Spokane Regional Emergency Communications map.

Present to City Council:
- Neighborhood Councils (NC) interested in presenting to City Council during a legislative session (currently Mon. @ 6pm) should sign up online. This is an opportunity for NCs to have their hard work and requests in front of council and the public. Presentations are 10 minutes with an additional 5 minutes reserved for questions.

- Spokane’s Farmer’s Markets are starting back up this month.
- Global Food and Art Market @ 733 W Garland Ave. on Tuesdays from 4- 8 p.m. Opening date is May 5
- Emerson-Garfield Market @ Emerson Park on Fridays from 3 to 7 p.m. Opening date is June 5.
- Kendall Yards Night Market @ 1335 W. Summit Pkwy. On Wednesdays from 5-8:30 p.m. Opening May 20.
- Spokane Famers Market @ Coeur d’Alene Park on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to Noon. Opening May 9, with Wednesday availability beginning mid-summer.
- South Perry Market, @ Grant Park on Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. Opening May 7.
Apply for the Working Families Tax Credit:
- The Working Families Tax Credit is designed to put money back in the pockets of hardworking families. Get up to $5,075 back in tax refunds for 2022 – 2025. Check your eligibility and apply at: workingfamiliescredit.wa.gov.
2026 Tire Collection Events
Dispose of your old or stored tires! The Department of Ecology and Spokane County are hosting three tire collection events.
- Colbert Tire Collection Event – Saturday, May 9, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at 22204 N. Elk-Chattaroy Rd.
- Fairfield Tire Collection Event – Saturday, May 16, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at 17815 E. Truax Rd.
- Deer Park Tire Collection Event – Saturday, Oct. 3, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., at 316 E. Crawford St.
These events will be residential collection only; please no business/commercial. Tires will be the only accepted item at the event, and the tires cannot include rims. No oversized tires.
