City of Spokane Community Update August 6, 2026 Disaster Assistance Center A Disaster Assistance Center will open at Shadle Park High School today, Thursday, Aug. 6, from noon to 6 p.m., with hours continuing Aug. 7-9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Anyone impacted by the fires is encouraged to attend to connect directly with resources.  Spokane Complex Fire The California Interagency Incident Management Team 7 and Spokane County Emergency Management are determining evacuation orders based on current fire conditions, ongoing hazards, and damage assessments. Please stay out of the level 3 evacuation areas; these areas remain extremely dangerous. As these decisions rest with the Incident Management Team, we cannot provide information or timelines for evacuations beyond what has been officially released.
