Mayfair – Spokane, WA 99207 – 509-324-6000 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 8, 2026 Contacts: Ryan Overton, communications, 509-413-9791 First of five workshops for North Spokane Corridor scheduled Saturday, July 11 Meeting highlights continued community improvements around I-90 SPOKANE – The public is invited to a community conversation about improvements in and around the Interstate 90 corridor as part of the North Spokane Corridor’s final connection project. The workshop will include a new community engagement series focused on visual appearance and landscaping at the I-90 connection. This meeting is a continuation of ongoing community involvement and outreach along the North Spokane Corridor. The corridor project creates a limited access 10.5 mile freeway north/south through Spokane that will remove freight and trips off of the local system. At the session, participants can learn more about improving community connections, ask questions and share their feedback. People can attend the workshop in person or virtually (details below). North Spokane Corridor community conversation details When: Workshop begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11 Where: Frances Scott Elementary, Multipurpose Room, 3737 East Fifth Ave., Spokane Virtual: People can attend virtually via Microsoft Teams. Details: A brief presentation will kick off the meeting at 10 a.m., followed by the workshop. Light refreshments will be served, and a children’s activity area will be available, though there will not be a supervisor for the area.
